Christmas Season! 2008

2008
Favorite Holiday? CHRISTMAS! of course.

I love all things Christmas. I love shopping for presents, I love my decorated house full of Christmas cheer.  I love Christmas Carols.   I love the feeling in the air. I love Christmas baking.  I love Christmas parties.  I love the snow.  I love the "feeling" of peace on earth.  I love shopping (oh, did I already say that). I just love all things Christmas.

Gabby is ready to put the star on the tree...she just needs to grow a few more feet.

Decorating our eclectic the tree is an all day deal! We've never counted the ornaments, but there are a TON of them ranging from the home made creations to those favorite ornaments we bought on trips or simply collected throughout the years. Getting the tree set up is another task all together...I think it borders on dangerous! Good work Steve!

Gabby and Hadley enjoying the beaters from the latest batch of Divinity.

Baking during December is one of my favorite things. I love to make Divinity (my specialty), fudge, cookies, cakes, Carmel corn, and basically anything yummy and sinful! The kids know that Christmas time is the only time during the year we make these yummy things, so that makes them even more special!
McKinnon and Mallory sang in the Copper Mesa Christmas concert this year and it was the perfect Christmas concert! Nice and short! We love Christmas music and a short choir concert!

Bella was a very dedicated and detail oriented decorator this year (a girl after my own heart...I love to decorate these houses).

Christmas wouldn't be the same without a night dedicated to decorating gingerbread houses. This year we went to the Christensen's home to build and decorate our house. We bought our "trusted" gingerbread house kit from Costco and we were ready to decorate! Our roof tried to cave in a few times (too much heavy candy on the roof), but all ended well.

We were proud of our gingerbread house. We gingerly transported it back to our home, placed it carefully in the middle of the kitchen table, and then over the next few days mercilessly picked at it over the next few days.

We love Christmas Time!
