Chandler is 13!
Since he is the oldest, and only, boy we have no experience with teenage boys. Since Chandler is such a loving, caring, and consciencious boy we will no doubt sail through the teenage years with out any issues (right Chandler???).
Chandler started his birthday out with his favorite all time breakfast of Oven Pancakes (a Sweedish type pancake that bakes in the oven to a huge height and then flattens down. To eat it you splash lemon juice all over it and top it with powdered sugar. Yes, powdered sugar for breakfast. They are YUMMY.)
It's always a bummer to have your birthday on a school day because not much celebrating can happen. Chandler came home from school to open his gifts. The theme for this years gifts were all things Rock Climbing. Chandler has really gotten into rock climbing over the past 6 months, so he needed his own harness, shoes, clamps and the like. "Be careful Chandler", are common words you hear around our house lately.
We further celebrated his birthday by taking him out on the weekend for "special time" with mom and dad. Chandler decided to go to the Japanese Steak house for his Birthday meal (always a treat!).
We are so proud of Chandler and the great teenager we know he is going to BE!
